A pioneer in the thirties of what he termed “photo-text”, Wright Morris combined his skills as a writer and photographer, joining his pictures with short, lyrical passages of prose that were related in spirit, but were in no way illustrative or interpretive.

This image graces the cover of his out of print book Origin of a Species which is included with the photograph.

Valued between $4,000 - $5,000, we are offering this signed 8x10 print matted to 16x20 and signed on the back by Mr. Morris for $1500. Only one photograph is available.
